Certified Stucco & Stone, has succsesfully removed the EIFS and reinstalled Wire Lath Hard Coat Stucco on numerous homes. Based on our knowlege and experience, we feel we are experts at what must be done. Below you will see an example of some of the moisture intrusion and rotted wood, we have found on removal projects.
Ultimately, every home owner with a EIFS house will have to decide if they can, or even should, try to fix the EIFS on their home, or to have it removed completely. Keep in mind that repairs are costly, and after the repairs, value wise, you still own an "EIFS home". We also would advise you to speak to an expert about the lasting value of your home with or without EIFS, before you spend good money repairing it.
